RetroArch (pronounced retro-arc) is a program which allows you to access a multitude of different gaming systems (emulators or cores as they are referred to in RetroArch) and games (ROMs) on your computer, console or mobile device. It is currently available as both a core for RetroArch, as well as an individual emulator. RetroArch then handles the input (controls) and output (graphics and audio) while the emulator core handles the emulation of the original system. For Arch Linux, there are AUR packages that simplify this process, although it is not incredibly difficult otherwise. It breaks the boundaries of what emulators are capable of, operating as a front-end for emulators, consoles and even individual games. Snes9x is the best emulator for Super Nintendo and Super Famicom games.

3940228 Does RetroArch Wii have any major advantages over the general, separate emulators people typically use, like Snes9xGx, FCEUltra, etc? I'll never forget the experience of discovering classic game emulators in the late 90s and getting some of my old favorites loaded onto my trusty Windows machine.
